Celebrating 25 years of Peter Gzowski’s Literacy Legacy

A night of words and music with host Shelagh Rogers, featuring Susan Aglukark, The Arrogant Worms, Quartetto Gelato, John Sheard, Roch Carrier, Cynthia Dale, Jian Ghomeshi, C. David Johnson, Molly Johnson, Murray McLauchlan, David Peterson, Gordon Pinsent, Bob Rae, and more in a tribute to the late Peter Gzowski, celebrated Canadian journalist and champion of adult literacy

The event proceeds will support Canada’s original literacy organization, Frontier College. Peter Gzowski’s devotion to the cause of literacy began with an introduction to Frontier College in 1986.

“Literacy is the key to so many opportunities. Events such as this fabulous celebration of Peter’s support of literacy can help Canadians unlock the door to a new life,” says Sherry Campbell, President of Frontier College. “We are helping children, youth and adults improve their literacy skills so that they can reach their potential at home, at work, in school and in their communities. This is exactly what Peter had in mind when he began to raise money for literacy in Canada 25 years ago.”
